Shanghai, China (ANTARA) - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin has said that the Indonesian government is offering a number of conveniences to investors, which will attract Chinese investors.

"The government, in general, has prepared a conducive investment climate. Regulations have been simplified and harmonized through the Job Creation Law," he observed here on Tuesday.

He delivered the statement after a 30-minute meeting with the Mayor of Shanghai, Gong Zheng, at the Xijiao Conference Center.

"We have also prepared fiscal and non-fiscal incentive policies and an ecological platform that facilitates the path of investors," Amin informed.

Further, Indonesia has prepared three Halal Industrial Zones located in Sidoarjo, Bintan, and Serang.

"The government is also providing convenience by making Halal Industrial Zones a part of Special Economic Zones (SEZs)," he said.

According to him, Chinese Premier Li Qiang has asked Chinese entrepreneurs to invest in Indonesia's halal industry.

During a visit to Fuzhou, Nanning, and Shanghai, the Vice President said that halal industry players are interested in investing in Indonesia.

"And (after meeting with) the Mayor of Shanghai, and he knows our great halal potential, they will direct their trading to the halal industry," he informed.

He said that the Investment Ministry/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) is ready to provide facilities for potential investors who show a strong commitment to invest in Indonesia.

He further informed that the government is preparing a team to assist potential investors so that they can invest in Indonesia's halal sector immediately.

"The Vice President's Office will also come to help if investors meet difficulties," he said.

Earlier, he met two big business players who have invested in building cement factories in Indonesia.

He also met with solar panel entrepreneurs and invited them to participate in supporting the energy transformation in Indonesia.
