Jakarta (ANTARA) - Acting Governor of Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono called on every component of society to be ready to face the challenges in realizing Golden Indonesia 2045.

At the opening of the 2023 Successors Children Festival (FAG) here on Saturday, Hartono reminded of the need to boost the potential of children, as the nation's successors.

"We are very proud that the FAG is an effort to encourage the nation's successors to be more competent. According to the president's directive, every component of society has a responsibility to support various strategic government programs, including to achieve the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045," he explained.

Indonesia aspires to become a high-income and advanced nation by 2045 so as to be able to escape the middle-income trap.

Through the 2025-2045 National Long-Term Development Plan, Indonesia strives to realize its vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.

Meanwhile, the Indonesia Institute of Islamic Dawah (LDII) that held the festival has a role in contributing to the quality of civilization.

As a civil organization, LDII has a role in preparing the nation's successors to become individuals, with good character and virtue.

Hartono expressed pride that the current young generation has a range of talents, such as those engaged in martial arts and football.

"Thank you again for your contribution to building the nation," he remarked.

On that occasion, he praised LDII as a religious organization that contributes to building a quality, competent, and professional young generation that will benefit the nation.

At the end of his remarks, he opened the festival and hoped that it would run smoothly and achieve the set target.

The acting governor expressed hope that the togetherness created at the event would become a source of inspiration to continue to build a great generation of Indonesians.
