"The TNI and Polri are expected to be more solid in providing the best service as a form of state presence in the community and will continue to act professionally and resiliently to face the challenges of duties," he noted in a statement here on Thursday.
According to Prabowo, both institutions are committed to ensuring the 2024 general election run safely.
At the TNI anniversary celebration event at the National Monument (Monas) Square, Central Jakarta, General Prabowo and TNI Commander, Admiral Yudo Margono, welcomed President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), who acted as the inspector of ceremonies.
The togetherness of the TNI commander and the Police chief reflected the synergy of the TNI-Polri that has been established so far.
The Police chief also congratulated the TNI on its 78th anniversary through his personal social media accounts on Instagram and X.
In the video, he stated that in 78 years of service, TNI soldiers have been present as patriots, who always maintain the sovereignty and integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) from various threats that can disrupt the nation's wholeness.
He affirmed that TNI patriots guard the Republic with a full sense of loyalty.
"TNI has a big contribution in every humanitarian mission in order to provide assistance as a form of state presence in the community," he remarked.
At the commemoration event, Prabowo also expressed hope that the TNI would be more professional and always synergize with the National Police to realize the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.
