The minister stated that the first milestone marked the start of construction of the houses on approximately two hectares of land for residents affected by the earthquake in Dok V, North Jayapura District, Jayapura City, Papua, last February.
"We hope after the first milestone, there will be no obstacles to the construction, so it will be completed on time," she noted in the statement received in Jayapura on Saturday.
The minister expressed hope that the building of the 72 houses for people affected by the earthquake will be completed on time, so the house can be inhabited immediately.
"Because, when you look at the location of their houses (earthquake victims), it is not possible to return, so the solution is that they have to be relocated here (West Koya)," she explained.
Rismaharini admitted that it took approximately eight months for construction of all the buildings to be completed.
"This has been carried out immediately, only a small matter, (and) we were waiting for the approval letter from the land administration since the sale and purchase has already been processed, but basically, there is no problem," Minister Rismaharini noted.
She remarked that the budget for building 72 housing units cannot be determined due to a slight change in location.
"I forgot because there was a change in location from Keerom to Jayapura City, and the house being worked on was type 36," she concluded.
