To this end, UIN Suska recently sent a delegation to the university during which the delegates were received by Professor Angele Reinders, Rector Professor Khairunnas Rajab noted in a press statement made available to ANTARA here, Tuesday.
Reinders is a full professor of design of sustainable energy systems at the Eindhoven University of Technology's Department of Mechanical Engineering. She is also director of Solliance Solar Research, a research consortium of the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, Rajab stated.
"We believe that this collaboration will help us improve our comprehensive understanding about renewable energy technologies and encourage us to develop innovations to meet energy needs in Indonesia," he remarked.
Due to the global reputation of TU/e in energy research, this collaboration would hopefully assist UIN Suska's scientists to get involved in energy research projects and learn from their TU/e partners' knowledge and experience, he explained.
The meeting with Professor Reinders was aimed at drafting a concrete and mutually beneficial collaboration in the solar power generation system with pumped hydro storage, he elaborated.
According to Rajab, Professor Reinders warmly welcomed UIN Suska's delegation and hinted that the two universities could build partnership in renewable energy research projects.
Reinders expressed hope that the joint research collaboration would later be fruitful for the development of sciences and Indonesian people, Rajab stated.
According to its official website, the Eindhoven University of Technology regards itself as "a top international university in science and technology."
Focusing on the Brainport region known for its excellence in high tech and innovation-driven industry, the university continues to develop to be a research-driven higher educational institution in the Netherlands.
