Winter Marbun, the Head of OJK for North Sulawesi, Gorontalo, and North Maluku (Sulutgomalut), said the number of SLIK requests had reached 3,640 as of October 2023, representing a 31.17 percent increase compared to 2022.
Requests for SLIK through walk-ins or direct visits to the OJK Sulutgomalut office remained dominant, accounting for 1,993 requests, while online requests submitted through the website http://idebku.ojk.go.id totaled 1,647.
Mouren M. Monigir, the Head of Consumer Services at the OJK Sulutgomalut, attributed the surge in SLIK requests to growing public awareness of the system's benefits.
This is because SLIK helps speed up the analysis process and decision-making regarding the issuance of credit cards or unsecured loans, she added.
Monigir said that SLIK will help minimize the risk associated with express credit card loans in the future.
