"Through this international cooperation program, I hope UI vocational students can become fresh graduates who are ready to compete globally and make Indonesia proud," he said in a statement here on Sunday.
Therefore, he said, UI's Vocational Education is striving to create graduates who are ready to work by equipping them with a practice-based curriculum and direct involvement in the industry.
Wicaksono said several UI vocational students took the opportunity to intern at Customer Experience Insight Pty Ltd (CX Insight) in Perth, Australia.
They are Dawsan Nomero Maulando and Keisha Mayra Faiza Amaris Hermawan from the Media Production Study Program, and Thariq Arsyad Fauzi from the Public Relations Study Program.
Three of them had the opportunity to intern in CX Insight which is engaged in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Interface (UI), User Experience (UX), and other fields related to artificial intelligence.
At CX Insight, they gained new experience in design, event management, UI/UX research, to marketing.
In the marketing department, Fauzi studied content planning, data analysis, and interviewing resources for company needs. Meanwhile, Hermawan and Maulando studied the application of HCI and design in digital/print media design and UX research fields.
"The internship program, which took place from November to December 2023, not only taught our hard skills but also trained our soft skills in managing work priorities in various projects given," Fauzi said.
They were also involved in the Diversity and Innovation Tech Fest 2023, where many innovators and entrepreneurs attended the event.
