The forum was attended by Minister of Commerce of Saudi Arabia Majid Al-Qasabi and was followed by more than 120 countries as well as representatives of the Chambers of Commerce from several Islamic and international countries.
According to a written statement from the Makkah Chamber of Commerce received by ANTARA on Friday, during its three days, the forum included the holding of more than 10 discussion sessions and 250 meetings.
The topics discussed were related to the halal industry, most notably the analysis of demographic and behavioral shifts in the market and ways to target new segments arising from those shifts.
In addition, innovative marketing strategies for targeting and approaches to use technology and innovation to reach new segments of customers and meet their changing needs were discussed at the event.
Data analysis and artificial intelligence in targeting new segments and the use of data analysis and artificial intelligence to understand the reality of the halal market and its variables also became the topics of discussion.

The forum witnessed, among its activities, the signing of six bilateral and multilateral agreements, including the inking of several agreements between halal products' development company, which was represented by Fahad Al-nahih, CEO of the company, and several related parties.
During his speech at the opening ceremony, the commerce minister lauded the establishment of such a forum, as it brought together the most influential experts and specialists in the halal industry, both in the government and private sectors.
The minister also commended the role of the forum in opening horizons for creativity, innovation, and competitiveness of products and services in the halal industry.
Meanwhile, for his part, chairman of the board of Directors of the Makkah Chamber of Commerce and president of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development, Abdullah Saleh Kamel, stressed the role of the "Makkah halal forum" in supporting the halal market and creating a platform that brings together all Islamic countries, in addition to opening channels of communication between various interested parties and producers in this important sector.
The "Mecca halal forum," which was held on January 23-25, came to organize the services of the Islamic Halal Chamber (ICHS) and benefits.
The forum is supported by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, the Chamber of Commerce in Madinah, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and quality organization, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and agriculture and the Chamber of Commerce in Mecca, Jeddah, and Taif.
