"I see that there will be many opportunities created from the cooperation between Indonesia and Thailand, such as the development of joint training programs that are relevant to the job market needs in the future," she said in a statement from her ministry received here Sunday.
Fauziyah stated that there are various training and apprenticeship programs that can be carried out by Indonesia and Thailand, such as training programs for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) technicians.
The two countries can also carry out training programs for logistics experts and health workers, as well as Thai language training programs for prospective migrant workers.
In addition, Indonesia and Thailand can carry out skilled workers' exchange programs through certified apprenticeship programs or work placement programs, and map out the needs for workers in Thailand.
Furthermore, the two can map out the potential of skilled workers in Indonesia, promotional programs for safe work placement, and the importance of protection of Indonesian workers in Thailand.
"I really appreciate various information and insights about the needs for workers in Thailand," the minister remarked.
Fauziyah expressed hope that cooperation in the employment sector between Indonesia and Thailand can continue and develop in the future.
"I am optimistic that we are able to achieve our shared goals in improving the quality of skilled workers, especially in the Southeast Asian region," she said.
