“More conflicts will have severe impact on developing countries. While the countries are supposed to get financing to overcome climate change and realize the SDGs (sustainable development goals); these resources are diverted (to handle the impacts of the conflicts),” he explained here on Tuesday.
Djani said that Indonesia has campaigned for the interests of developing countries at several international forums, especially during its leadership of the G20 and ASEAN.
This has been a part of the Indonesian government’s attempt to build collaboration among all countries to create a better world, he added.

With its free and active foreign policy, Indonesia will continue to remain a non-aligned country amid various ongoing conflicts, including the economic conflict between the United States and China, Djani said.
“Considering the current relationship between the United States and China, is it necessary to choose one against the other? No. Indonesia will not take sides,” he emphasized.
He stated that Indonesia is a friend to all countries. In addition, as a non-aligned country, it is in an ideal position between the global economic superpowers.
Djani then invited all parties to work together and collaborate with Indonesia.
“At the end of the day, I think it is to everyone benefits to have a much safer world,” he said.
