The bodies of the three Indonesian crew members, alongside another South Korean crew member, were found on Sunday (March 10).
According to the ministry's Director of Protection of Indonesian Nationals and Legal Entity, Judha Nugraha, the Korean Coast Guard (KCG) continues its operation to search for the rest of the other fishing boat crew members, comprising four Indonesians and one South Korean.
"Indonesian Embassy in Seoul dispatched the Indonesian national protection team to Tongyeong, around five hours by road trip from Seoul," Nugraha stated in his short message.
"The team is coordinating with the KCG for the search operation and the Tongyeong SAR Hospital for the handling process of the crew members' bodies," he revealed.
The ministry has also been in touch with the families of all seven Indonesian nationals, who were lost, to provide the latest information about the search operation.
The "2 Haesinho" fishing boat sank on Saturday morning approximately 68 kilometers south of an island in Tongyeong City, South Gyeongsang Province, in the southern tip of the Korean Peninsula.
Nine crew members, including seven Indonesians, operated the 29-ton boat when it sank.
