"With the promos and tour packages offered, it is hoped that it can help improve domestic tourists' experience and deep impression," Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno remarked here on Tuesday.
Ahead of the Eid holiday, he expected several domestic tourists to have begun planning their trip with KAI and tour agents, and they may be interested in the program.
The ministry's Domestic Tourism Marketing Director, Dwi Marhen Yono, stated that data from the Transportation Ministry showed that 85.5 million people were going home for Eid in 2022.
He said that the number of homecomers increased to 123.8 million in 2023, and this year, the number is projected to increase by 56 percent, or 193.6 million movements.

PT KAI's Director of Commerce, Hadis Surya Palapa, stated that the Nyok Mudik and the Jakarte Aje, as well as the "Senin-Kamis Tour" are the two sub-programs.
These programs are under collaboration with the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry and Astindo.
Tourists can choose the 20 train routes heading to Jakarta for the Nyok Mudik and the Jakarte Aje programs that include tour, accommodation, culinary arts, and visit to tourist attractions.
Meanwhile, the Senin-Kamis Tour offers discounts of up to 30 percent for train departures from Monday to Thursday.
PT KAI also presents its Ramadhan Festive program that will take place on March 20-21, 2024.
KAI has 38 thousand seats with the rates, comprising Rp300 thousand for executive class, Rp250 thousand for business class, and Rp200 thousand for economy class during the Eid momentum.
