Jakarta (ANTARA) - Electric vehicle (EV) owners can charge their vehicles at the nearest PLN office while returning home during Eid holidays, according to PLN's Retail and Commerce Director, Edi Srimulyanti.

"Maybe when you go home, there is no home charging, right? Hence, you can charge it at PLN offices," Srimulyanti said during a press conference on Thursday.

To facilitate smooth charging, PLN has alerted its officers in the area.

Srimulyanti remarked that public charging stations can also be found in a number of tourist areas and hotels.

“Many hotels have collaborated with us," she noted.

She earlier said that 175 fast-charging stations had been built along the Trans Sumatra-Java toll road.

The addition of these stations brings the total number of fast-charging stations along the Trans Sumatra-Java Toll Road to 239, spread across 104 locations.

Overall, Srimulyanti said that the number of charging stations in Indonesia had reached 1,299 and was spread across 879 locations.
