The Manpower Ministry recorded 1,187 submitted cases regarding religious holiday allowance (THR) payments from April 4-6, 2024, received by the ministry's THR Command Post.
"Based on the latest data at 15.00 local time, the number of complaints received was 1,187 cases," the ministry's Director General of Employment Inspection and Development, Occupational Safety and Health, Haiyani Rumondang, spoke to journalists on Sunday.
From the 1,187 cases involving 725 reported companies, she informed that most complaints were related to unpaid THR and THR payments violating the provisions set by the Ministry of Manpower.
In addition, of the total 1,187 cases received through the THR Command Post, 30 of them are being investigated by the Ministry of Manpower, she said.
Previously, the Ministry of Manpower opened the 2024 THR Command Post to receive complaints and consultations for workers or laborers regarding the provision of Eid al-Fitr THR for this year.
Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah issued the Ministry of Manpower Circular Letter (SE) Number M/2/HK.04/III/2024 concerning the Implementation of Providing Religious Holiday Allowances in 2024 for Workers/Labourers in Companies, to support the implementation of THR payment this year.
"I announced that with the issuance of this SE, the Manpower Ministry also opened the THR Command Post," she stated.
The THR Command Post is intended to facilitate complaints from workers/laborers and companies regarding THR payments. The post also provide consultation regarding THR.
Besides the physical Command Post, the ministry also provides a virtual Command Post which can be accessed via the website poskothr.kemnaker.go.id.
In addition, the circular also stated that THR had to be paid seven days before Eid and could not be provided in installments.
On April 4, the ministry's Director General of Industrial Relations Development and Social Security, Indah Anggoro Putri, also reported that the Command Post received fewer complaints compared to the previous years.
