Tirtana said here on Sunday that SOE Minister Erick Thohir has brought the state-owned company to contribute largely to the national economy by contributing dividends of Rp82.1 trillion or Rp5 billion in 2023.
"After being impacted due to the COVID pandemic, Thohir showed his leadership. In 2022, SOEs' dividend payments were only Rp40.6 trillion (US$2.5 billion) and in one year they rocketed to Rp82.1 trillion," he said.
According to him, it is not impossible that the SOE's national dividend target of Rp85 trillion or US$5.2 billion this year will be achieved.
He said, through a family value approach, Thohir gathered all SOE employees so that state corporations successfully scored many achievements.
The family value can be seen from theme of the 26th SOE Anniversary, "SOEs are family: Celebrating with warmth".
Furthermore, he explained, Thohir consistently implements the "SOE clean-up program", which aims to improve governance and professionalism.
"Starting from the cases of Jiwasraya, Asabri, the SOE Dapen (pension fund), Garuda Indonesia, BUMN Karya, to the latest corruption case of PT Timah which is reportedly to have ecological losses caused by corruption reaching Rp271 trillion. This is proof of Thohir's seriousness in eradicating corruption," he said.
Tirtana said that the Ministry of SOEs not only provides dividend contributions, but also strives to realize equitable development as mandated by President Joko Widodo.
"Infrastructure SOE is the pillar of the country's economy by opening up the development of infrastructure investment. This strengthens the role of SOEs in attracting private investment by expanding infrastructure development," he said.
