The use of this area will also be expanded to the retail as well as food and beverage sectors, which are important for the national economic recovery program.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Taspen Properti Indonesia, a subsidiary of PT Dana Tabungan and Asuransi Pegawai Negeri (Persero) (TASPEN), is developing Oasis Central Sudirman in collaboration with Mitsubishi Estate Co. Ltd. to push foreign investment.

“This project is a strategic collaboration between Indonesia and Japan, especially between TASPEN and Mitsubishi Estate Co. Ltd. Mitsubishi is a renowned global developer, so this collaboration signifies foreign investment to Indonesia,” director of planning and actuarial at TASPEN, Feb Sumandar, informed here on Monday.

At the Oasis Central Sudirman Project main contractor signing, he said that the project, which is targeted to be completed in 2029 with an investment of Rp10.6 trillion, is also expected to create new jobs for local workers.

He informed that two towers will be developed on a 3.3-hectare area owned by TASPEN. One of the towers is planned to be used as a commercial building for offices, a hotel, and lifestyle stores, while the other will have apartments.

“The Oasis Central Sudirman area is not only limited to the property sector. The use of this area will also be expanded to the retail as well as food and beverage sectors, which are important for the national economic recovery program,” Sumandar added.

He said that the establishment of the commercial and residential area will support the government's efforts to develop more transit-oriented development (TOD) areas.

Several choices of public transportation will be available around the area, such as mass rapid transit or MRT (from Dukuh Atas BNI MRT Station), light rail transit or LRT (Dukuh Atas LRT Station), as well as Greater Jakarta Commuter rail or KRL (Sudirman Station and Sudirman Baru BNI City Station).

The area will also be accessible by foot from Sudirman Baru BNI City Station, where people will be able to board the airport train to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, and the Dukuh Atas Transjakarta Bus Stop to take the Transjakarta Bus.

"Hopefully, this project can create a multiplier effect for the national economy," Sumandar added.
