Jakarta (ANTARA) - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated that the Pre-Employment Card (PraKerja) Program will continue in the next government led by Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

He made this statement on Friday at the Jakarta Presidential Palace, where he reported on the program's achievements to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). "I reported about the Pre-Employment program. The achievements are good, and the president also asked it to be included in the 2025 State Budget," Hartarto remarked.

The government earlier decided to resume the Pre-Employment Card Program in 2024, with a quota of 1.1 million participants, marked by the 63rd batch of registration of participants since February 23.

Each Pre-Employment participant can obtain a total benefit of Rp4.2 million per person, comprising Rp3.5 million for the training fund, Rp600 thousand of incentive, and another Rp100 thousand after filling out the survey.

In 2024, the Pre-Employment program management partners with more training institutions to provide various types of skill training relevant to the job market demand.

The PraKerja program has reached communities in remote and underdeveloped areas and involved training centers in several regions.

The training offers a unique learning, wherein participants learn according to the flow or step-by-step. Although this learning is flexible, it requires commitment from its users.

To improve human resource quality, the government has promoted various programs, including the PraKerja Program.

The program aims to optimize the demographic bonus potential by providing training to the community with a digital end-to-end approach and advocating for public-private partnerships (PPP).
