At the 25th ASEAN-Republic of Korea Summit in Laos on Thursday, he expressed hope that the partnership would accelerate energy transition and regional stability.
"The ASEAN-Republic of Korea partnership is one of the most dynamic and strategic in the last 10 years. By 2050, ASEAN will need an investment of US$726 million to US$1 billion in renewable energy projects," Amin remarked.
He expressed hope that the two parties would build an innovative partnership for inclusive funding and provide effective technology to achieve the target of using clean and renewable energy.
On that occasion, Amin also underscored the need to placate the tension in the Indo-Pacific region through dialogue and open communication.
"I supported the Trilateral Summit last May, as an important step towards stability and peace in the region," Amin noted.
The vice president then invited all countries in the region to reinforce their commitment to forming an open, inclusive, and sustainable regional architecture.

Closing his remarks, Amin also reiterated ASEAN and the Republic of Korea's support for Palestine.
"We must continue to push for a permanent ceasefire, distribution of humanitarian aid, and full membership of Palestine in the United Nations," he emphasized.
On the same occasion, President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Seok-Yeol affirmed that the 35-year partnership between the ASEAN and Korea has become a milestone for the development of partner countries.
According to the president, the cooperation has brought some positive impacts in several sectors.
"ASEAN-Korea has witnessed rapid progress in political, economic, social, and cultural cooperation. Since the relationship was established in 1989, trade has increased threefold along with rapid growth in the investment sector," he stated.
He also emphasized that this strategic partnership will continue in the future for the benefit of both parties.
"Korea will continue to be ASEAN's partner in achieving a better tomorrow," he emphasized.
