"By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim (In the name of God), today I launch the Amanah Youth Creative Hub in Aceh Besar, Aceh province," he stated.
Before the inauguration, he visited several stands exhibiting products made by Amanah members.
The booths showcased several products ranging from medical devices, handicrafts, patchouli perfumes, Aceh coffee, about agriculture, high-tech homes, waste treatment devices, and products made by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Chief of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), Budi Gunawan; Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian; Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi; and chief of the National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, were among those who attended the inauguration.
Widodo said that the Amanah building will serve as a place to produce innovations and boost young people's creativity. The facility is expected to become a hub for supporting startups, he added.
He said that he was amazed by the innovative and high-quality products showcased at the event.
"In my opinion, the products, especially the Muslim fashion design, are very creative and innovative," he remarked.
The Amanah building has been built by the Public Works and Public Housing Ministry on an area of five hectares in KIA Ladong.
It has a number of facilities, such as a seminar room, coffee and patchouli oil processing laboratories, a cafe, a photo studio, a music studio, a voice over studio, a podcast studio, a store, a greenhouse, and a technology and innovation workshop.
Amanah focuses on developing seven priority sectors — agriculture and plantation, livestock, fisheries, MSMEs, sports, environment, and the creative economy industry.
