Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto has urged ministers and agency heads to resign if they do not support the government's Free Nutritious Meals program, which targets children and pregnant women.

While presiding over a plenary cabinet session and issuing directives at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, Prabowo emphasized that the nutritious meals program is a strategic initiative.

"I am confident that providing nutritious meals for children and pregnant women is a highly strategic program," he said. "Those who do not support this, please leave the government I lead."

He invited ministers, heads of special institutions and agencies, and other high-level officials to collaborate as one team, stressing that the program is part of his vision to revive the greatness of the Indonesian nation.

Prabowo instructed the head of the National Nutrition Agency, Dadan Hindayana, along with all ministries and government agencies, to make the necessary preparations to ensure the program is implemented effectively, on target, and in a measurable way.

He also encouraged his staff to face challenges head-on during the program's implementation.

Prabowo acknowledged that some individuals have expressed doubts about the cabinet's ability to successfully implement the Free Nutritious Meals program.

However, he reaffirmed that the government is fully capable of managing the program and allocating the necessary resources to meet its goals.

"I am not saying this can be achieved in one week, two weeks, or three months. But we can calculate, manage funds, mobilize resources, and we will meet the targets that have been set," he said.
