Bandung (ANTARA) - Deputy Head of the Hajj Organizing Agency (BPH) Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak ensured that his agency is ready to synergize and cooperate with all stakeholders in organizing Hajj.

"The Hajj Organizing Agency believes and realizes that it is not easy to organize the Hajj, so we expect synergy and cooperation from every Hajj stakeholder," Anzar stated at the Hajj Meeting here on Friday.

Anzar affirmed that the BPH is still in a transition period and the Ministry of Religious Affairs is still involved in organizing Hajj in 2025.

He expressed hope that the meeting would be successful and produce recommendations or legal products that can serve as the basis for improvements in the implementation of Hajj in Indonesia.

"We hope that the 2024 Meeting will be successful and produce recommendations or legal products that can be the basis for improving the implementation of the Indonesian Hajj," he remarked.

He noted that three crucial matters were discussed at the meeting.

Matters deliberated included strengthening the murur scheme, which is a Hajj scheme where pilgrims cross the Muzdalifah area without having to spend the night there; implementation of tanazul, a process of replacing the departure of the Hajj group due to certain conditions; and the benefit of the Hajj.

Anzar remarked that these three issues were questioned by the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) based on the results of the consensus of the ulama.

These three problems will be solved based on Islamic law to achieve a successful, smooth, and prosperous Hajj for the benefit of the people.

"In the perspective of organizing the Hajj, the welfare of the people is one of the important issues, part of the perspective in Islamic law. Other commitments that need to be formulated are related to transparency, accountability, and anti-corruption," he remarked.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs held a three-day Hajj Mudzakarah on November 7-9, 2024, at the Islamic Institute (IAI) Persis Bandung, West Java.
