Jakarta (ANTARA) - Governor of the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas), Ace Hasan Syadzily, has said the institute is reviewing the effectiveness of the Free Nutritious Meals Program that is currently being tested in several regions.

"Lemhannas is reviewing the implementation of the free nutritious meals policy because this is very positive in ensuring the quality of human resources meets nutritional elements," he explained at the Golkar Party office in Jakarta on Monday.

According to him, the review is needed to ensure that the program is on the right target.

The review process includes several things such as food procurement costs, food quality, as well as the distribution process to schools.

He added that the results of the review would be submitted to President Prabowo Subianto for consideration before the program's inauguration.

"We will give special inputs to the President regarding the effectiveness of the program," he informed.

The Free Nutritious Meals Program has been promoted by Prabowo since the 2024 presidential election campaign. After he officially took office, the government has been implementing the program gradually.

One of the efforts made toward this has been the conduct of a free lunch trial in several schools in Indonesia.
