The meeting took place in Jakarta on Tuesday (December 3), according to a statement from Indonesia's Creative Economy Ministry cited here on Wednesday.
"I am fully convinced that the two countries have been enjoying strong bilateral ties and sharing the same commitment to forging mutually beneficial cooperation," Harsya noted in the statement.
During the meeting, he underscored that the Indonesian government has been paying special attention to the creative economy sector and is determined to make it "a new engine of growth," as evidenced by the formation of the brand new Ministry of Creative Economy.

The minister also echoed Indonesia's keenness to engage Australia in several initiatives to further the harmonious relations fostered between the two states.
"To bolster our strategic partnership in the development of the creative economy, we would like to explore new ways to tap into potentials for collaboration, including programs aimed at developing the creative economy ecosystem, cultural exchange and promotion, and human resources enhancement," he affirmed.
Australia's Minister Burke, for his part, extended Canberra's congratulations and appreciation to the Indonesian government for establishing a ministry designated specifically for handling the creative economy, which he describes as a highly valuable sector.
On that note, he assessed that Indonesia had made a breakthrough and set a positive precedent by forming the Creative Economy Ministry.
Indonesian Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar and several officials at the ministry accompanied Minister Harsya to the bilateral meeting.
