"We discussed the coordination between Baznas and the Indonesian Embassy in Cairo in distributing humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people affected by the conflict in Gaza," Chairman of Baznas Noor Achmad noted in a statement from his office on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Achmad expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Indonesian Embassy in Cairo for their help and facilitation of Baznas.
"Baznas is truly helped by the support of the Indonesian Embassy in Cairo in ensuring the proper distribution of humanitarian aid from Indonesia to the Palestinian people amid challenging situations on the field," he noted.
He then ensured that aid from the Indonesian people reached those in need.
"By strengthening synergy with the Indonesian Embassy in Cairo and various international partners in Egypt, Baznas ensures that aid from the Indonesian people can reach affected residents both in Gaza or Palestinian refugees in Egypt," he remarked.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Rauf also highlighted various efforts made by the Indonesian government to help the Palestinian people through Egypt.
"Baznas has made a major contribution, both through sending aid directly from Indonesia by cargo plane and ship, as well as through procuring aid materials with partners in Egypt," he noted.
He also highlighted the challenges in delivering aid directly to Gaza, including through Egypt and Jordan, due to the worsening situation in the region.
Nevertheless, the ambassador ensured that his office would continue to coordinate intensively with various parties in Egypt, in line with President Prabowo Subianto's commitment to supporting the struggle of the Palestinian people.
In November, Baznas stated that the total humanitarian aid collected for Palestine had reached Rp318.9 billion(US$19 million).
