The commemoration of ANTARA's 87th Anniversary on December 13, 2024, carried the theme of "Strengthening Nusantara Solidarity" as reflected in ANTARA's offices located in Jakarta, the regions, and also abroad.
"With this solidarity, Nusantara will grow and develop, and ANTARA will continue to be relevant in meeting the needs of public information," Munir remarked when met at the ANTARA Heritage Center in Pasar Baru, here on Friday.
Munir invited all elements of the nation, including ANTARA employees and the entire community, to jointly strengthen solidarity among each other.
He also expected the community to support the government in educating the life of the nation.
The ANTARA 87th Anniversary celebration was held at the ANTARA Heritage Center in Pasar Baru. This is the first time the organization celebrated its birthday in the building, which was renovated before and inaugurated in May 2024.
"We had celebrated (the anniversary) at the Wisma Antara office, then (at) Wisma ANTARA in Cikini, and this year at the ANTARA Heritage Center. This beautiful office and strong nuance of Nusantara make the atmosphere better for all the ANTARA extended family," Munir stated.
ANTARA's 87th Anniversary was enlivened by a Nusantara-themed fashion show competition, a door prize, and various free culinary dishes for ANTARA employees. The culinary booths presented micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Siti Nurhaliza, one of ANTARA's employees, stated that the current year's anniversary event represented a marked departure from previous iterations, characterized by a greater degree of festivity and vibrancy.
"This year's celebration felt more festive and more memorable because there were many local foods, such as pempek, satay, and soto kudus. There is also a fashion show competition," she remarked.
