The electric buses are fully operational on the TransJakarta Corridor 2, among others.
"Electric buses are fully operating on Corridor 2 now, and we will also start operating (electric buses) in other corridors gradually," President Director of TransJakarta Welfizon Yuza stated here on Wednesday.
The TransJakarta Corridor 2 serves the Pulo Gadung-Monas (National Monument) route. Yuza did not mention the exact number of electric buses operated on the corridor.
"We got a very positive response from passengers, especially in corridor 2 because this is a new experience for them," he remarked.
TransJakarta has operated as many as 200 buses to fulfill the target of plying 300 buses by the end of this year.

The launch of 200 electric buses resulted from the collaboration between TransJakarta and other operators, such as state bus company Perum Damri, PT Bianglala Metropolitan and PT Sinar Jaya.
Yuza affirmed that TransJakarta is keen to contribute to reducing carbon emissions, with the goal of 100 percent electrification of public transport vehicles by 2030, towards the net zero mission goal by 2050.
He explained that the electric buses deliver an environmental impact equivalent to planting 1.5 million trees or recycling 32 thousand tons of waste.
In addition, with the operation of electric buses, TransJakarta can present a more efficient mode of transportation and save operational costs of up to five to 10 percent.
Moreover, electric buses can save subsidized fuel costs of up to 20 percent.
Yuza also encouraged the public to use public transportation more while heading to their destinations.
"The public should use public transportation as part of their lifestyle, not only for work but also for other activities," he stressed.
