During a meeting in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday (Dec 21), Muzani explained Indonesia needs to improve the quality of its human resources by providing, among others, nutritious meals for pregnant women, toddlers, schoolchildren, and those at risk of stunting to achieve prosperity.
Thus, he continued, the free nutritious meals program requires support from all Indonesians as national unity is needed to achieve prosperity.
“We are continuously trying to foster unity because there is no prosperity without unity. Religion is also about prosperity,” he noted.
During the meeting, Muzani also conveyed full support for the World Muslim League’s plan to build the Prophet Muhammad Museum in Indonesia.
Indonesia, he said, has been maintaining tolerant and moderate Islamic values, as well as promoting Islam that respects differences.
“Indonesian Islamic boarding schools, madrasas, and other educational institutions teach Islam as rahmatan lil alamin,” he said, referring to the Arabic terms of universal blessings.
Muzani invited Secretary General Abdulkarim Al Issa to visit Indonesia and see the development of moderate Islam in the country.
"This is our way of caring for Islam in an Indonesian way," he noted.
"This is in line with the purpose of establishing the World Muslim League to clarify the message of Islam, build Islamic and humanitarian cooperation, and increase friendship between people," Muzani concluded.
