"We must dare to face those who choose the wrong paths," he said while delivering his remarks at the 2024 National Christmas Celebration in Jakarta on Saturday.
According to the President, such wrongdoings reflect human greed even though Almighty God has blessed people with goodness.
He said he is optimistic that the Indonesian people can overcome these challenges, even though this may not happen instantly.
"Believe me, if we have good intentions, if we are determined to do good, we are sure we will succeed, we are sure the Almighty is with us," Prabowo added.
During the celebration, he also lauded the work done by his Cabinet ministers, which, during the first two months of the administration, has shown relatively good results.
"I am frankly proud of the team that helped me," he remarked.
The theme of this year's Christmas celebration was "Let Us Now Go to Bethlehem," highlighting Bethlehem as a symbol of hope, justice, and prosperity.
