"They (Kluivert and his assistants) plan to visit several cities to assess athletes' potential at both regional and national levels," Ariotedjo said during a press briefing in Jakarta on Monday.
Kluivert is eager to explore ways to maximize scouting and coaching efforts for national athletes, the minister said after a meeting with Kluivert and his assistant Danny Landzaat.
Several key issues related to the national team and football were discussed during the meeting.
Ariotedjo revealed that Kluivert and Landzaat showed a high level of enthusiasm for improving Indonesia's football achievements. They are keen to see the U-20 national team training for the 2025 Asian Cup at Jakarta's Madya Stadium.
"During our discussions and interactions with Kluivert and Landzaat, there was a positive atmosphere and optimism. Therefore, I hope this leads to better progress for our national team," the minister said.
Before the meeting, Kluivert and his assistants inspected Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium ahead of their upcoming match in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
