Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto expressed elation over his administration's success in controlling the prices of some essential goods and services within his 100 days in power.

"Thank God, the New Year holiday and the first days of this year went smoothly, as prices of fuel and food have been under control," he remarked on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Jatigede Hydroelectric Power Plant in Sumedang, West Java, on Monday.

Prabowo also highlighted his government's feat in lowering domestic flight ticket prices and the fees for Hajj pilgrimage services.

However, the head of state admitted to still not being fully content with the reduction in Hajj service charges.

"I am not yet satisfied. I have ordered my aides to identify ways to further lower the fees," he told the media.

The president then emphasized that he attributes these achievements to the hard work and perseverance demonstrated by ministers and heads of other state institutions.

"I am very proud of my team, my ministerial cabinet, for working cohesively and relentlessly. It is said that our cabinet knows no day off. You could see that my ministers were even working on New Year's Eve in offices and other locations," he highlighted.

Furthermore, the president underlined that his government has always been focused on pursuing efficiency across various sectors to ensure affordable prices of goods and services for all citizens.

"We are all working to drive efficiency across all sectors. Efficiency, efficiency, efficiency," he accentuated.

On October 20 last year, President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka took their oaths of office in Jakarta, succeeding former president Joko Widodo and former vice president Ma'ruf Amin.

The president announced the composition of the Red and White Cabinet on the same day and inaugurated ministers and heads of state institutions on October 21.
