The president inaugurated the electricity infrastructures at the Jatigede Hydroelectric Power Plant (PLTA) in Sumedang District, West Java, on Monday.
"These infrastructures are the fruits of the efforts made by all the nation's talents, state institutions, and the previous government led by the seventh president, Mr. Joko Widodo," he remarked.
He emphasized that the power infrastructure projects align with his government's mission for energy self-sufficiency.
The president expressed pride in the simultaneous inauguration of electricity infrastructures, marking three months since he took office.
"I was inducted on October 20, and three months later, on January 20, I have the honor of inaugurating a cluster of projects of such a big scale, which generates over 3.2 gigawatts. I take pride in this opportunity," he stated.
On that note, Prabowo extended his utmost gratitude and appreciation to all parties involved in the development of the electricity infrastructures.
The head of state expressed optimism about the government achieving electrification for all villages within five years of his administration.
The Jatigede PLTA, with a capacity of 2x55 megawatts, was among the power infrastructures Prabowo inaugurated today. Former president Jokowi launched the construction of the power plant in 2015.
The other inaugurated infrastructures include power plants and related facilities located in Aceh, North Sumatra, Bangka Belitung Islands, South Sumatra, Banten, Jakarta, West Java, East Java, Bali, East Nusa Tenggara, South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, Central Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, and Nusantara.
