In an official statement, Sjamsoeddin informed that he discussed several types of military cooperation that will be established with China.
"We will continue to enhance cooperation, not only focusing on the transfer of military technology built but also bolstering direct relations between military personnel through soldier-to-soldier contact," he said.
In addition, the two ministers discussed the bilateral agreement on using dialogue to resolve problems in the region.
The method is expected to help bolster ties between China and Indonesia amid rising tensions due to inter-regional conflicts.
"Considering the dynamics of the geopolitical and geostrategic situations that currently continue to develop, it is only right that we work together to maintain favorable conditions to realize mutual progress," he said.
He further said that Indonesia and China have a shared history of good relations. Various forms of cooperation have been established to bolster ties between the two Asian countries.
With Wednesday's follow-up meeting, the minister said he hopes that the good relations that have existed for a long time can be strengthened for the common good.
"Our relationship is not just friendship, but also brotherhood, and it is my duty to continue and develop this brotherhood bond," he added.
