"There are inputs from the public, partners, or anyone including students, which can be used as improvement materials for the agency," he said in Jakarta on Friday.
According to Nasbi, the MBG program will continue to be evaluated from time to time, especially since the program is still being expanded to various parts of Indonesia.
The feedback and suggestions received from the public are being used as evaluation material to improve the system of the priority program, he added.
He said that the evaluations are expected to improve the standard operating procedure (SOPs) to ensure more reliable MBG distribution and meet public expectations.
The MBG program is one of the priority programs of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration.
It was officially launched on January 6, 2025, with the target of covering three million beneficiaries in the first three months and six million in the following three months.
The beneficiaries include students, toddlers, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers.
The MBG program has been implemented in 31 provinces, with 238 nutrition fulfillment service units (SPPG) or public kitchens operating to support the distribution of free meals.
The program is expected to not only have an impact on beneficiaries but also the economic sector.
This is because micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and the agriculture sector can be involved in the program right from the stage of procurement of food ingredients to the process of preparing MBG packages.
Earlier, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati signaled the grant of an additional budget for the program, which would increase the total budget allotment to Rp100 trillion (USD5.9 billion).
"The budget for the MBG program will be increased from Rp71 trillion (USD4.2 billion) to Rp100 trillion. I hope this can generate a multiplier effect for small and medium businesses throughout Indonesia," she said on January 30.
