The Eid exodus is expected to take place in the fourth week of March 2025, or the last week of the Ramadan holy month.
The peak of the exodus period is anticipated to fall on March 28, 2025, or three days before Eid Al-Fitr.
State toll road operator Jasa Marga has predicted that traffic volume during the peak of the Eid homecoming season will reach 232 thousand vehicles, an increase of 50 percent compared to normal.
Several preparations have been made for the Eid travel season, including the opening of new toll road sections.
They include the Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulon Progo Toll Road's Klaten-Prambanan segment, measuring 8.5 kilometers, and the south part of the Jakarta-Cikampek II Toll Road to support the alternative return flow from Bandung to Jakarta.
The Gending-Paiton segment of the Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road, measuring 23.47 kilometers, will also be opened during the Eid travel season.
