Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WIKA Beton) reaffirms its position as a leading force in supporting national interests by ensuring the smooth flow of homecoming travel (mudik) for Eid 2025. The WIKA Beton Precast Concrete Plant Port in South Lampung received special attention during a visit by Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian and Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi, who inspected the infrastructure readiness for the peak travel period. The visit was also attended by Lampung Governor Rahmat Mirzani Djausal, South Lampung Regent Radityo Egi Pratama, and Head of the Lampung National Road Implementation Center (BPJN), Susan Novelia, on Thursday, March 13, 2025.

Strategically located only 3 kilometers from Bakauheni Port, WIKA Beton Port has been designated as the main port for the Ciwandan – WIKA Beton route until March 30, 2025. This facility plays a crucial role in alleviating congestion for vehicles crossing from Java to Sumatra, ensuring a seamless, comfortable, and safe journey for travelers.

The high-ranking government officials’ visit aimed to assess supporting infrastructure, including road access to the port, dock conditions, and traffic engineering within the port area. Abdul Wakhid Hasan, South Lampung Plant Manager of WIKA Beton, accompanied the delegation to present the infrastructure readiness to accommodate the surge in travelers.

This strategic initiative aligns with the Joint Decree (SKB) issued by the Directorate General of Land Transportation, Directorate General of Sea Transportation, Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps, and Directorate General of Highways, aimed at regulating road traffic and ferry crossings during the Eid homecoming and return travel period of 2025.

WIKA Beton emphasizes that its role in ensuring a smooth homecoming travel experience is part of optimizing its infrastructure assets. This initiative not only helps reduce traffic congestion but also provides a mutually beneficial solution for both the company as an infrastructure provider and the public as service users in the future.

"We take immense pride and responsibility in the trust given by the government in designating WIKA Beton Port as a vital part of the Eid homecoming travel system. This is not merely a duty but a genuine commitment to the nation—our dedication to providing infrastructure that directly benefits the wider community. We firmly believe that excellent service during the homecoming period is a tangible reflection of BUMN’s AKHLAK values and our responsibility to all stakeholders. With optimized port infrastructure and strong coordination, we aim to ensure that every traveler reaches their destination safely and comfortably," stated Kuntjara, CEO WIKA Beton.

As the leading precast concrete industry player in Indonesia, WIKA Beton continues to innovate in infrastructure development, which not only drives national economic growth but also strengthens interregional connectivity. Its active involvement in ensuring a smooth homecoming journey is proof that WIKA Beton is not just about construction—it is about fostering convenience, togetherness, and happiness for the people of Indonesia. With strong synergy between the central and regional governments as well as various stakeholders, WIKA Beton is confident in providing the best service for millions of travelers returning to their hometowns to celebrate Eid with their loved ones.
