Head of PCO Hasan Nasbi said in a statement here on Saturday (March 15) that the policies produced in nearly the last four months have proven to provide a multiplier effect for various segments of society.
"The community directly feels the benefits, and the business sector has big opportunities to play a significant role in development. President Prabowo's policies are generating two advantages at once,” he said.
In about four months, several quick win programs have been implemented. The first program is the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, which is being carried out in 38 provinces.
This program is supported by more than 750 Nutritional Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) to reach 82.9 million beneficiaries.
The National Development Planning Ministry stated that MBG can contribute 0.86 percent to Indonesia's economic growth.
Several economic research institutions also predicted that by 2025, MBG could encourage GDP growth of 0.06 percent, or approximately Rp14.61 trillion or around USD893.2 million.
Another program that has attracted public interest is the Free Health Check-up Program. Within just over a month after its launch, 527 thousand people have registered themselves as prospective recipients.
Moreover, Nasbi stated that downstreaming has become a priority program, as it is seen as able to support Indonesia's economic growth target of eight percent.
To realize downstream processing, he said President Prabowo inaugurated the sovereign wealth fund Danantara, in order to manage state-owned funds and assets, so these funds can be used for strategic programs.
