"The Phase II construction process of the IKN has begun. The auction process, management handover, and subsequent work implementation will be carried out soon," he noted in a statement received on Wednesday.
Hadimuljono highlighted that the 2025-2029 development period will be funded with a state budget allocation of Rp48.8 trillion (US$2.8 billion) to complete the legislative and judicial complexes, establish supporting ecosystems, and open access to the IKN planning area (WP) 2.
He remarked that the budget will also cover the maintenance and management of completed infrastructure and facilities at IKN.
Furthermore, OIKN has a program with Rp60.93 trillion (US$3.5 billion) budget funded through government-business entity cooperation (KPBU) to build 97 apartment towers and 129 landed houses.
Hadimuljono elaborated that it also includes six KPBU projects for the construction of roads and multi-utility tunnels (MUT) spanning 138.6 km in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) and one KPBU project for solar power plants (PLTS).
To ensure the continuation of IKN construction development, the OIKN held a Coordination and Evaluation Meeting for the Implementation of Infrastructure Development with the Ministry of Public Works (PU), the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP), consultants, and construction service providers.
This meeting, on Tuesday, aimed at boosting synergy and strengthening coordination among stakeholders, including evaluating all completed, ongoing, or upcoming infrastructure work packages.
Hadimuljono then emphasized the importance of maintaining the spirit of development amid the dynamics of national policies. His side has continued to foster a strong spirit for all related parties in the IKN infrastructure development.
