According to a statement from the ministry on Friday, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Abdul Mu'ti, and President Prabowo Subianto are scheduled to launch the program jointly.
On Friday, Mu'ti will attend the National Education Day commemoration at Regina Pacis School in Bogor before attending a series of Hardiknas commemoration activities.
Meanwhile, Prabowo is scheduled to attend the Hardiknas commemoration and launch the Quick Win Best Results Program (PHTC) in the field of education at Cimahpar 5 Elementary School in Bogor, West Java.
The theme of this year's Hardiknas commemoration is "Universal Participation Realizes Quality Education for All."
On Wednesday (April 30), the minister announced the plan to launch the program after attending a limited meeting led by Prabowo at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta.
"To commemorate National Education Day, we will launch one of the president's priority programs, namely, school construction. We plan to build and renovate 10,440 schools this year," he stated.

He explained that the school construction and renovation program aims to reach 10,440 schools by the end of 2025, with a total budget of around Rp16.9 trillion (US$983 million).
The head of state will also launch a direct assistance transfer program for honorary teachers, providing Rp300 thousand (US$17.46) per month.
Additionally, there will be educational funding assistance of Rp3 million (US$174) per semester for teachers who have not completed their Bachelor's degree or equivalent to a Diploma.
"The figure will be detailed by the president at the programs' launch in Bogor during National Education Day commemoration," Mu'ti remarked.
