Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk (ticker code: WSBP) once again recorded a proud achievement by winning the WSO Indonesia Safety Culture Award (WISCA) 2025 with the title of 4 Star (Gold). This is the third time WSBP has consecutively won the award since 2023, as proof of the company's commitment and consistency in building a superior Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) culture.

This prestigious award is given by the World Safety Organization (WSO) Indonesia to companies that are considered successful in implementing a comprehensive and sustainable OSH culture program in all operational units.

“This achievement is not merely an end result, but a reflection of our work culture that prioritizes anticipation, awareness, and active participation of all WSBP personnel in maintaining safety in the workplace,” said Fandy Dewanto, Vice President of Corporate Secretary WSBP.

WSO Indonesia also expressed its concern over the number of work accidents in Indonesia which tends to continue to increase from year to year. Through the WISCA program, WSO continues to encourage the industry to improve the maturity of the OSH culture in their respective work environments, in order to create a safer, healthier and more productive workplace.

One of the concrete proofs of the implementation of HSE culture in WSBP is the comprehensive implementation of the 10 Golden Rules of HSE in all work units, which includes the use of PPE according to job risks, the implementation of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), work access management, and Safety Observation and Nearmiss reporting which are monitored regularly. In addition, all work activities at heights, confined spaces, heavy equipment, and lifting-rigging are carried out with a strict supervision system and based on worker certification and competence.

“This award is a tangible result of the dedication of all Insan WSBP in making safety culture an integral part of the company's operations,” said Fandy.

Fandy also added that the implementation of the OSH culture is not only carried out in project areas and production plants, but also actively carried out at the head office and all other operational units. WSBP ensures that every Insan WSBP has the same concern for occupational safety and health, regardless of their function and role.

Throughout 2024, various WSBP operational units won Zero Accident and P2K3 awards from various labor agencies at the provincial and national levels. These achievements include seperti Precast Plant WSBP Subang, Bojonegara, Prambon, Karawang, as well as Batching Plant WSBP Paspro and
Workshop WSBP Cikopo which show real commitment in maintaining work safety in a sustainable manner.

WSBP ensures that all company activities, whether in factories, projects, or other supporting units refer to safety, quality, occupational health, and environmental standards. The comprehensive implementation of this system is part of a long-term strategy to create a superior and sustainable work culture.

“We believe that safety is not only the responsibility of the HSE team, but the collective responsibility of all Insan WSBP. This joint commitment is our strength to continue to encourage the achievement of zero accidents,” concluded Fandy.

WSBP not only runs the QSHE system consistently, but also continues to strengthen the implementation of good corporate governance and risk management in each unit. With this commitment, WSBP is optimistic that a strong OHS culture can be an important foundation in supporting the achievement of zero accidents in all work environments. This commitment is also supported by One Stop Solution integrated services and the development of products and services that pay attention to aspects of safety, sustainability, and the needs of the current construction industry.
