"Commission X (of the House of Representatives) is committed to ensuring that the MK's ruling is implemented in accordance with the mandate of the 1945 Constitution, Article 31, which guarantees every citizen's right to education," Irfani told reporters here on Wednesday.
He affirmed his side's support for the ruling, which, he said, aligns with the Constitutional spirit of ensuring equal access to quality education for all citizens.
However, he highlighted issues related to budget availability in executing the mandate for free basic education.

He stressed the need for both the state and regional budgets (APBN and APBD) to be capable of fairly and proportionally covering educational operational costs.
"There must be a transparent mechanism to ensure that private schools receive adequate subsidies, without compromising the quality or autonomy of their management," he said.
Irfani also urged the government to revise some technical policies of the School Operational Assistance (BOS) program.
He argued that some revisions are necessary to ensure that BOS funding can cover private schools comprehensively.
"Technical regulation revision in the BOS policy is crucial so that the funding can reach private schools nationwide," he added.
Earlier, on Tuesday (May 27, 2025), the MK ruled that both the central and regional governments must ensure free education at the elementary and junior high school levels, including in madrasas or equivalent schools, regardless of whether they are public or private.
