According to the official statement received on Thursday, the two leaders traveled aboard a Polri AW-189 helicopter.
President Subianto arrived first at Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA). Upon arrival, he proceeded directly to the VVIP lounge to wait for President Macron and the French delegation.
Shortly after, the aircraft carrying President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron from Jakarta landed at YIA. They were greeted by relevant officials before heading to the VVIP lounge to meet President Subianto.
After their meeting, the two heads of state were seen engaging in a brief conversation before walking together toward the helicopter, which was prepared at the edge of the airstrip.

Presidents Subianto and Macron also rode together in a Maung tactical vehicle to reach the helicopter's takeoff point, a gesture reflecting the closeness and harmony between the two leaders.
Upon their arrival at the Magelang Military Academy, located approximately 71 kilometers from YIA, they were scheduled to attend an official welcoming ceremony, inspect the academy's educational facilities, and have lunch with cadets.
This joint journey of the two heads of state marks a significant part of President Macron’s state visit to Indonesia, underscoring the strong strategic partnership between Indonesia and France, particularly in defense and military education.
Accompanying Presidents Subianto and Macron on the flight to the military academy were Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
