Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration has launched the Rural School program in a bid to rise to the challenges of village development in the digital age.

The ministry's head for village and remote area human resources training center, Dicky Yosepial, stated during the program's online launch here on Wednesday that the program integrates public training, assistance, and empowerment with technology, as well as employs cross-sectoral collaboration in its efforts.

"Rural School allows for easier access to learning in villages without disregarding local context and wisdom," Yosepial affirmed.

Moreover, he elaborated that the collaborative nature is owing to the program's combination of online and offline learning, as well as thematic learning modules applicable to various groups of villagers, such as village apparatuses, Village-Owned Enterprises managers, micro, small, medium enterprises (MSMEs), youth, and the general public.

Yosepial noted that Rural School is a realization of the Ministry of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration Regulation Number 5 of 2025, which outlines the organizational and technical framework in the ministry's scope, especially for the Village People's Training and Empowerment Center.

He affirmed that the initiative highlights the ministry's commitment to building developed, independent, and digital-based villages.
