Chief of the Bali Regional Police Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya announced in a press conference on Wednesday that the three are suspected of carrying out the shooting, which resulted in one death.
"We are sure these three perpetrators are the executors. They have been named as suspects and are Australian nationals according to their passports," Adityajaya remarked.
The suspects are identified as Tupou Pasa Midolmore (37), Coskunmevlut (23), and Darcy Francesco Jenson (37).
According to Adityajaya, the shooting of the two victims was planned by a suspect with the initials D, referring to Darcy Francesco Jenson, while the other two acted as executors at the scene of the crime.
His side would further investigate the roles of the three suspects in detail, noting that they had recently arrived in Bali on June 17.
"Several pieces of evidence point to these three. We were only able to question them last night, and we will continue to develop the case. We are connecting them to other facts supported by evidence," he stated.
Adityajaya said the three suspects face multiple articles: Article 340 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) for premeditated murder, Article 338 of the Criminal Code concerning murder, Article 351 paragraph (3), and Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951.
They were also charged under Article 372 of the Criminal Code concerning Embezzlement. They are still being questioned by investigators at the Badung Police Headquarters.
"We are still investigating their motive and continue cross-checking the facts," Adityajaya stated.
Earlier, two Australian citizens were allegedly shot at the Casa Santisya 1 Villa, Munggu Village, Badung District, Bali, on June 14.
The incident resulted in the death of Zivan Radmanovic and left Sanar Ghanim injured.
The shooting was witnessed by GJ, the wife of ZR, and Daniela, Sanar's wife.
ZR was shot in the bathroom, while Sanar was shot in the bedroom.
