“Since this is an investment forum, the President will also join the plenary session together with President Putin at 2 p.m.,” Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani said in the lobby of the Taleon Hotel in St. Petersburg, Russia, prior to leaving with President Prabowo for the forum.
He informed that Prabowo’s participation in the prestigious forum will seek to highlight Indonesia’s key achievements and outline the direction of strategic economic cooperation between Indonesia and Russia.
According to Roeslani, SPIEF is not limited to government-to-government meetings. It is also a platform to connect with Russian business leaders and private conglomerates, he added.
President Putin is expected to attend several meetings with the private sector during SPIEF, which will also be observed by the Indonesian delegation.
The Danantara CEO emphasized that both heads of state have shown a strong commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation in tangible ways. He said that there is a clear sense of urgency to translate this political will into action.
“We see very strong determination from both leaders. Our task now is to realize all these cooperation opportunities as quickly as possible,” he added.
Danantara Indonesia, a newly established independent institution under the President’s office, is tasked with managing and optimizing government investments and the assets of state-owned enterprises to support the achievement of national strategic plans and programs.
