His remarks came following Bank Mandiri’s commitment to expand financing for subsidized housing through the Housing Finance Liquidity Facility (FLPP) scheme.
“That is great. I am pleased that Bank Mandiri is supporting the Three Million Houses Program,” Sirait said after signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the state-owned bank, the Ministry of Housing, and BP Tapera in Jakarta on Thursday.
He noted that Bank Mandiri’s move represents a concrete example of synergy between banks and the government.
He emphasized that this synergy extends beyond financing—it shows a shared commitment to ensuring citizens have access to decent housing.
“President Prabowo Subianto always reminds us that a team must be solid, and the cabinet must work in unity,” Sirait added.
Bank Mandiri has raised its FLPP subsidized housing financing quota to 25,000 units this year, up from 7,000 in 2024.
“We received the largest allocation this year—25,000 units,” said Bank Mandiri CEO Darmawan Junaidi.
Part of the quota will be available to internal staff, including Bank Mandiri employees and those from Mandiri Group subsidiaries.
Junaidi said around 21,000 of the group’s 104,000 employees do not yet own homes.
However, he clarified that no specific quota has been set aside for staff, and the FLPP allocation will be made available nationally.
As of May 2025, Bank Mandiri had distributed 4,596 subsidized mortgages (KPR) through the FLPP scheme—an increase of 78.8 percent compared to the same period last year.
