According to Batik Air Corporate Communications Strategic Officer Danang Mandala Prihantoro, the Boeing 737 with registration number PK-LDJ landed at the airport during a downpour.
While approaching the runway, a strong crosswind blew the aircraft and tipped it to its side, he said, adding that the wind speed increased while the wind direction remained.
"Nonetheless, the aircraft landed safely and all flight procedures were followed," he stated in a written statement on Sunday.
Following the close call, an aircraft engineer team conducted a thorough inspection of the PK-LDJ aircraft. They concluded that the plane suffered no damage and could return to operation normally.

Batik Air prioritises safety and security in its operations and is committed to adhering to the prevailing flight safety procedures, Prihantoro stated.
The near miss received media attention after videos of its dramatic landing circulated on social media, including a video published by the Instagram handle @velljet.vjt.
While approaching the runway, the Batik Air plane tipped to its right side for several seconds before the aircraft stabilised and landed safely.
"Batik Air landed at such a high bank angle that its right engine almost touched the runway," as described by the Instagram handle. They also stated that due to the same storm, some flights were forced to wait in a holding pattern above Jakarta's sky.
