The meeting was held at the Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday.
“Indonesia expresses its deep appreciation for the efforts of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving the Two Holy Mosques as well as the Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, also other religious visitors to the holy sites,” he said, as per a statement received in Jakarta on Thursday.
Prabowo also lauded the good coordination between the two countries in ensuring the comfort and welfare of Indonesian Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
During their meeting, the Indonesian President and the Saudi Crown Prince also discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation to provide the best services to Indonesian Hajj pilgrims.
Prince MBS also conveyed greetings from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to President Prabowo, along with wishes for Indonesia’s health and prosperity.
“To His Excellency the President of Indonesia, greetings from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, along with best wishes for His Excellency’s health and well-being, and continued progress and prosperity for the Republic of Indonesia and its people,” he said.
Prabowo returned the greeting by conveying his respect and sincere wishes to King Salman.
He also expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome extended by both King Salman and Prince MBS, and officially invited the Prince to make a reciprocal visit to Indonesia.
“I extended an invitation to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to make a reciprocal visit to Indonesia at a time to be agreed upon through diplomatic channels,” he said.
