All three have been incorporated into Prabowo’s main Asta Cita missions, and all stakeholders will collaborate to improve the three aspects, she said.
“The first (step) to fighting poverty is improving education, especially for children from underprivileged families who currently have no access to quality education. This is being realized through the establishment of Sekolah Rakyat,” Irawati informed here on Wednesday.
A total of 63 Sekolah Rakyat have held the school environment orientation period (MPLS) program as of July 14, 2025. The government is targeting to set up 100 such schools across the country by August.
Irawati said that poverty alleviation is also a concrete step toward achieving President Prabowo’s 8 percent economic growth target.
The second area, she added, is ensuring access to proper healthcare for the nation’s children.

The Ministry of Health has been carrying out the Free Health Check-up (CKG) program, which has started covering schoolchildren from the new academic year.
“This month, CKG has been extended to cover schoolchildren. It has already reached nearly 10 million people, and by the end of the year, it is expected to reach 50 million,” she added.
The third area is socioeconomic empowerment, which is being realized via the Red and White Village Cooperatives program.
“(Through this program), every village has a business entity that empowers its members, so they can become economically independent in terms of income, food, and health,” Irawati said.
She informed that each Red and White Village Cooperative will house up to six business units focused on staple goods provision, logistics, transport, savings, lending, among others, based on local potential.
