Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chairperson of the Family Empowerment and Welfare Movement Team (TP PKK) Tri Suswati emphasized the importance of strengthening children's education to prepare quality and competitive human resources in welcoming Golden Indonesia 2045.

"By that time (Golden Indonesia 2045), Indonesia should have a generation capable of competing on the international stage with their abilities and quality," Suswati noted in a TP PKK statement received here on Saturday.

While attending the 2025 National Children's Day (HAN) commemoration in Nabire District, Central Papua (July 23), she highlighted that the celebration serves as a momentum to provide protection and love as well as to fulfill children's rights.

Suswati acknowledged that during the 41st HAN commemoration, many issues still affect children in Indonesia, especially those related to violence against children.

Hence, she urged all parties to protect children so that such issues can be properly addressed.

She emphasized that children play a vital role, and parents must not only protect them but also fulfill all their rights, including access to civil administration services, formal and non-formal education, as well as opportunities to play.

According to the TP PKK chairperson, parents can supervise children's use of digital technology to prevent exposure to its negative impacts.

Therefore, she said, children should be introduced to Indonesia's vast territory, from Sabang to Merauke, and be instilled with a sense of pride in being Indonesian.

"This year, National Children's Day carries the theme of Indonesian children as brothers and sisters. We certainly hope with this theme that Indonesian children can recognize and understand that Indonesia is not just one region, but very vast," she remarked.
