The two-day workshop, which began on Tuesday, was attended by leaders and officials overseeing Hajj affairs in Indonesia, as well as experts in planning, operations, and education, the Saudi ministry stated in a statement received here on Wednesday.
The workshop aimed to improve the quality of education and training for service workers assisting prospective Indonesian Hajj pilgrims. This included counseling and training on the latest operational systems and programs.
The event was designed for officials and leaders involved in Indonesia's Hajj services, including members of planning teams, field implementation units, and Hajj affairs offices, to ensure wide-reaching benefits across all levels of service.
On the first day, discussions focused on improving support provider performance and adapting to new operational mechanisms.
Topics also included the use of the Nusuk platform and Nusuk Card, coordination of Hajj office operations with Saudi systems, and counseling strategies for pilgrims facing challenges.
Meetings were also held to improve coordination in training for pilgrim groups and their leaders.
The second day covered critical issues such as education on Hajj-related challenges and solutions, managing health limitations among pilgrims, mechanisms for contracting Saudi healthcare providers, and ensuring operational readiness through accurate data and improved efficiency.
The workshop was attended by officials from Saudi Arabia’s Ministries of Hajj and Umrah and Health, representatives from various Saudi institutions involved in pilgrim services, as well as delegates from Indonesia’s Hajj Management Agency and Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The Saudi government expressed hope that this initiative will strengthen preparedness and boost training quality to ensure a safe, smooth Hajj experience for Indonesian pilgrims.
